Good wine isn't just pleasant. "Red wine has lately come to be the new anti-aging elixir, and that's for a good reason. Studies on wine's anti-aging properties have discovered a unique antioxidant called resveratrol that has powerful anti-aging effects. It is produced during the fermentation process and it's abundant in red wine, and a little less in the white one" explains Doctor Grigory Sadkhin founder of "The Sadkhin Complex", an anti-aging loss-weight program. It also contains nutrients such as Potassium, Magnesium, Riboflavin, and vitamins B12, necessary for a good heart health. What is most interesting about them is that some of the contents of milk are agents that inhibit several kinds of cancer such as skin, breast and colorectal cancers" Points Dr Sadkhin.
They're ideal not only to arouse passion, but also to live a longer life. Blueberries and blackberries contain phytonutrients called flavonoids, that have powerful antioxidant effects. "Flavonoids help cells communicate more efficiently among each other, and have been associated to a reduction in the risk of many degenerative brain diseases, such as Alz Heimer and insanity. Its prevention reduces also the risk of cancer, because these radicals are responsible for DNA mutations that develop carcinogenic growths".
Delicious in salads, soups and pasta sauce, tomatoes are a rich source in flavonoids. "Flavonoids are body anti-inflammatory chemicals, the licopene and carotene, most famous for its bright red color" explains John La Puma, author of "ChefMD: A Food Lover's Guide to Culinary Medicine". The best way to absorb the licopene is with a bit of oil.
It's always a pleasure to eat this healthy. "The highest the concentration of cacao, the highest the ability of the bitter chocolate to dilate arteries, helping them to retain flexibility and elasticity and lower blood pressure, that helps delay aging" says John Puma.
